Micro-needling can be used to improve wrinkling, help thicken thin skin, improve skin hyperpigmentation, scars and cellulite.
The treatment involved application of a derma roller or derma pen to the skin surface, numerous fine needles prick the skin. The resulting punctures stimulate specific receptors and lead to growth factors being released. The skin’s elasticity and firmness are considerably improved as a result of the stimulated production of collagen and elastic fibres.
The treatment takes about 20 minutes. Two to five treatments at intervals of four to six weeks are required in most cases.
No time off is required. Possible slight redness and swellings disappear after a day.
